With all the talk of increasing fitness, the latest from Italian football is an excellent reminder that the elite players of the past will continue to perform better than ever in the future.FIFA World Ranking 2015 has been released today and while the rankings are still rather subjective, they do give a pretty good idea of what the best players of a given year are doing.

The top three players in the FIFA World Ranking this year are Mario Balotelli, Sergio Aguero and Eden Hazard.

In the previous edition of the ranking, it was Balotellis 3rd and Aguero’s 8th.

It should be interesting to see how they fare this year, as the World Cup will likely have a big impact on their performances.
